These rags are a lot better quality than I expected. They don't shed like most microfibers, and the amount of rags in this pack will last for several lifetimes. The only caveat I have is that they appear to be starched or chemically treated in some way and when you use them straight out of the box they are a bit stiff and not very absorbent. However, after a wash or two, they are right. If you're looking for super absorbency, go for microfiber as it doesn't have a lot of surface area and won't soak up liquids or spills like paper towels. However, microfiber and many highly absorbent rags and towels also tend to wash out color or leave a lot of lint, and they leave a clean, lint-free surface that's hard to find. We also have a lot of pets and have found that extremely fluffy rags retain a lot of pet hair even after washing, while these 'smooth' rags stay perfectly clean every time and don't hold any hair or dirt. We mainly use them for indoor and outdoor cleaning and love them.
