My teenage daughter is interested in photography and getting good gear is one of the biggest challenges. Photography isn't a cheap hobby, although I'm glad you don't have to develop film anymore! With that in mind, I was excited to learn about Sabrent's 62-inch carbon fiber tripod with 360-degree camera mount. At least I was hoping for a good tripod. The carbon fiber construction is a plus, as is the weight (just under 5 pounds). The 360 degree swivel scale, quick release plate and ball joint make the tripod easy to use and set up. The built-in bubble level also helps ensure the camera is properly leveled. We also really like that you can use this tripod as a monopod with a quick release camera mount. This makes it ideal for hiking and bird watching. As a bonus, this tripod comes with a very nice soft travel case. Some have commented that it smells like mold, but it's more like the outgassing of plastic that fades over time. Many other reviews sorting the various features of this tripod have already been published. talk about different functions. However, for an aspiring photographer, we found this tripod to be everything we needed and more to get our hobby started. We also think the price quoted is very reasonable for a tripod of this specification. Yes it could use some improvement in some areas but overall it's a good place to start!
