Review on Beck Arnley 180 0571 Crank Sensor by Tay Cassanova

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Well done. Looks OEM.

I bought this for my 2006 Subaru Impreza 2.5I Wagon. My engine light came on and I found that the 1/2 inch hose was disconnected from the chamber air intake. The car has a new coil pack and recent tuning. The symptoms were after the rain, the crank wouldn't start. When you finally got it to work you had to let it warm up or it would have low performance. There were codes but not for the CKP sensor. I had codes P0302 and P0420. Loss of power. I suspect I had two different problems. I think the air leak affected the MAF sensor (trip code P0420) and the CKP sensor was not causing a start (trip code P0302). The CKP sensor is located directly under the alternator. Two days of rain and three days later no codes and no symptoms, I think I get it.

Pros
  • True to original form, fit and function including magnet strength
Cons
  • Low repairability
