Fixed fault code P0335

It was purchased for a 2010 non-turbo Subaru Forester. I had a P0335 DTC (Crankshaft Position Sensor Circuit) and that completely fixed the problem. After installing this sensor, the car started for the first time. It runs a lot smoother than before as the original sensor has probably been dead for a while. Very happy with the quality and price as it is much cheaper than the original Subaru sensor. Will be updated in the near future if something changes on the sensor.

Pros
  • Special application for this car
Cons
  • The cable is shorter than others

Installed in 2006 Subaru Impreza Outback Sport. There were many issues such as poor fuel efficiency, intermittent inability to start, intermittent check engine light and intermittent idling. Spark plugs, cable and coil changed, no improvement. Found that two of the four plugs were burned so it was odd that this didn't help. Resetting the engine trouble codes indicated a crankshaft position sensor malfunction. So I got this item as a replacement. The part itself looks like OE quality and fits…

Pros
  • Premium design for durability
Cons
  • Disappear

The car has a new coil pack and recent tuning. The symptoms were after the rain, the crank wouldn't start. When you finally got it to work you had to let it warm up or it would have low performance. There were codes but not for the CKP sensor. I had codes P0302 and P0420. Loss of power. I suspect I had two different problems. I think the…

Pros
  • True to original form, fit and function including magnet strength
Cons
  • Low repairability
