The actual measurement of the ruler is 101 feet and 8 inches. ADVANTAGES: This ruler is slim which means it can be carried in a pocket or briefcase. The handle is flexible, so the lever doesn't get in the way when you roll quickly. There is no clip which means you must have an extra pocket big enough to fit this product in your pants/shorts. The ruler line itself is thin, it should be thicker which means you need to look carefully and judge the measurement based on the foot you are on. .The handle itself is fine, but when it is extended, it is slanted, so you can not wind up the ruler quickly, otherwise friction may burn you. All in all a great office style line, I bought it for the space. Savings, for a 100ft ruler it's a definite bargain compared to a 35-40ft ruler. from the rulers. However, if you're really into building, I suggest buying something more durable and user-friendly.
