Bought these for my 5 year old son's uniform. He is 46 inches and 49 pounds. I usually buy him a 6 or 7 at Carter's, but these 5 sizes are roomy for him. He says they are comfortable. The relaxed fit is quite roomy (think '90s chimney jeans, you know you had a pair or 5!) and the elastic waistband is great for a boy who's too lazy to zip up . The pants don't wrinkle, just wring them out well or just put them in the dryer for a short time and then flatten and flatten them to (mostly) smooth out the creases. These pants appear to be durable. They leave dark marks when my son falls to his knees, but they don't crack or otherwise show any wear. I don't know if the knee marks will go away, but for $12 I'm not mad. I've bought 4 pairs so far and will definitely be buying more.
