and it worked fine.

The toaster took some time to warm up and average the temperature. The instructions say to set the power to high to burn off the dust and restart the toaster, then turn off the power to use the toaster regularly. The first 5 toasties resulted in burnt toast even when set to power 1. I took a break for a few days then tried again and it worked fine.

Pros

EXTRA WIDE SLOTS: The Smeg 2 Toaster has 2 extra wide slots that allow you to toast large pieces of bread and bagels and has the added benefit of being able to remove the toast without fear of burning your hand.
