Review on 🐍 Fluker's Premium Heat Mat: Ideal Heating Solution for Reptiles and Amphibians, Large Size 17"x11 by Lauren Smith

I gave this product 4 stars because they didn't tell you that you needed a piece of styrofoam insulation to conduct heat into your aquarium. (It should be at least 6mm thick and the size of the mat you use is 11" x 17" etc.) Luckily I had a piece of styrofoam that worked fine. This heat mat is thin, maybe 1/16 inch and seems to work great. I've only had it for a week so I can't say how it will hold up over time. I bought a hydrofarm digital thermostat to control this heat mat and I am very happy with the purchase (as is my snake) I set the thermostat at 85 degrees, connected a heat mat to it and the warm side of my tank stays between 83 and 86 degree foam in the description. Also, I should note that there is no glue, so if you want to glue it, you'll have to come up with something. I still use both a heating mat and a digital thermometer. Both products work great, installed and forgotten. I would happily purchase this item again if I ever need to!
