Works great. You can pour the batter into a waffle iron or skillet without it splattering all over the stovetop. Pour the sauce on top as well, allowing all the broth to drain from the bottom so the fat floats to the top. Actually, I bought this mainly as a sauce separator. I never thought of using a "kitchen utensil" to pour pancake batter. I have my "sauce separator" and it was labeled as a "pancake batter dispenser" so I tried it out for its intended purpose (weird huh?) and found it REALLY makes things easier and reduces clutter. Good product!
