Made a batch with these wicks. Here's what I noticed: they burn fairly quickly, the wicks have a woody smell which I like, it crackles quite slightly when it first burns. I don't like how high the flame initially rises and gives off a bit of soot, but if you continue trimming and maintaining the candles you should be fine. Just don't overdo it, because it doesn't burn.
