Review on Babyganics Foaming Hand Sanitizer Refill - Alcohol-Free, Unscented, 16Oz (Pack Of 2) - 99.9% Germ Protection by Lisa Fugiel

I would not use this on a baby.

For me I use it as a refill where I need a hand sanitizer that is not alcohol based. Due to some medical issues I have had to use a hand sanitizer a lot for more than a year now. Started with the standard alcohol based products but after 8 or 9 months of use many times a day I developed a constant itch on my hands. I ask a Nurse Practitioner I know, if hospital workers ever had that problem. I was told they don't use one containing alcohol. I bet this is why they are willing to spend significantly more every year to buy something different. So I went looking and found this type in bottles and these refills. Works fine and I get no itch except there should be cautions. My concern on babies is this stuff stays on your hands and does not evaporate off the way alcohol does and they even tout that in the listing as a reason to use it. However that is also a reason for concern with babies and some cautions for yourself. Even if you don’t use it on their hands they may get it on their hands if it is anywhere on them or your hands. We know where their hands will then spend a good deal time….In their mouth. I don’t think eating this is a good idea for anyone. I one day I used this and an hour later rubbed the corner of my eye to remove something and got it in my eye. It hurt. Luckily I had a good dry eyes eye-drop nearby and flushed it out. I no longer use this near time to eat without being sure to wash it off before eating. Of course I am now cautious about touching my eyes too unless I washed it off.

Pros
  • The pack of two refills is convenient for use in multiple locations, ensuring that you are always protected from harmful germs
Cons
  • May not be as effective at reducing the spread of highly infectious diseases
