Like tents, if there's a seam, don't believe it. With that in mind, if you decide to make this purchase, you will be fine. Also, like the new tent, I applied caulk to all seams and silicone spray to the entire surface. Why, because water finds a way, defeating any plan to stay dry. I also have a foam insulated wooden broom that I place on the center line under the lid. I did this with a tarp I've used in the past. This allows water to drain to the sides instead of pooling in the center and eventually seeping into the seam at the top of the case. The fit is good and I actually had to unbuckle the straps and file off the bottom of my side step. On the one hand, because the body lock does not fit between the footrest and the side of the vehicle. Not so hot what's up. However, one of the straps on the back of the case was too short, possibly a side strap fitted by the manufacturer or seller during assembly. I am currently awaiting a replacement and have made a paracord to extend the number to use. Worked like a charm during the first rain and the second "Noah event" last night.
