Review on Machine Soothing Adjustable Function Portable by Emily Morris

Doesn't work for me

For many years I slept and ate earplugs and it was a very uncomfortable practice that Marpac (now Yogasleep) Dohm finally saved me from. Although I was never 100% satisfied with it. A mechanical fan tends to make strange noises. I was able to open it up to blow out the dust and oil the shaft, but you would think speaker-based systems like this product would easily circumvent this problem. Unless they don't. I've lost count of the number of speaker-based white noise devices I've tried, and most of them have been disappointments. Some of them just sounded too harsh, but in most cases they make a thin high-pitched tune over the whistle they're supposed to make. And unless you're very sensitive, you might not notice it. It's pretty subtle. But I'm sensitive. And once you've heard it, you can't hear it anymore. You might have different needs, but for me personally, OnLyee is probably the winner. The transition when the track repeats is audible but I don't hear the high pitched melody - it really drives me crazy. speaker based options I can find. But unless you're that sensitive, a speaker-based speaker shouldn't require tedious maintenance.
