Review on Enhance Ladder Safety with Extension Ladder Mat - Non-Slip, Anti-Skid, and Floor Protecting Rubber Mat by Alex Jain

I'm painting my family room with 16 foot ceilings. Obviously I'll have to use an extension ladder to finish the ceiling and walls. I had new hardwood floors installed a few months ago and wanted an extra layer of protection for the floors. I HAVE BOTH PROTECTION AND NON-SLIP. Yes, I'm crazy, but I actually put 3.5 mil thick plastic sheeting on the floor. throw away the cloth and lay the rug on the floor. Also do not move on plastic mats. I love these things. Bought two and very satisfied. I put down a mat and then move the ladder from one mat to another to change position. Does not slip, floors will not be damaged. VERY VERY SATISFIED WITH THIS PRODUCT! And yes, as some of the other reviews say, when it arrived there was a strong smell of oil. I took it out of the plastic bag it came in and put it in the garage for a few days. The smell is almost gone. I won't let that stop me from buying this product. This is a rubber based product (made from petroleum which makes it non-slip. Don't hesitate, buy this product and stay safe!
