I have this on a 2015 F250 SHORT BED towing a 2014 39ft camper with a fifth wheel. It works amazing! My specific reason for purchasing was to 1) reduce the weight of a traditional and unnecessary fifth wheel and 2) eliminate the need for a short bed shifter hitch which is also heavy and expensive. The beauty of this thing is that I can unscrew it and lift it myself in minutes. In addition, the height is easily adjustable with a single pin, allowing you to play with the height difference of the bed. Also, ZERO LUBRICATION is REQUIRED. I added a black and white swivel ball to the gooseneck so when you remove the hitch you have a flat platform with nothing sticking out. I cut out the bed lining so that the hitch fits snugly against the metal. I throw in a bed mat to cover the neckline and use a triple comforter so I can leave it on when towing. I'm for less work and less weight. I see no reason why anyone would use a regular fifth wheel - with this kid's invention, ie old school and layered pain for all the reasons I listed above. You WILL be happy, and everyone looks at campgrounds and thinks they wish they did the same.
