Revainrating 2 out of 5

Great when it works. Possibility or not

I liked the description because it was submersible and suitable for dirty water. As the written instructions are terrible, the garden hose didn't fit, but it turned out the adapter was still in the box. It works sporadically well when the suction is on. But many times the engine has run without water intake. You have to turn it off and on several times, check if the hose is tightened. Switch to automatic mode and hope it works after 6 inches of water. Or hope it will start sucking as the water rises. Practice with it when there is no emergency or you have the kiniption to make it work when it is critical. You have to turn it on and it has to suck water! After lots of experience of trying to pump out water in heavy rain and getting wet every time I use this thing, I found that if you turn it on with no hose connected, and then connect the hose, the water will pump wet. but you will know that it sucks water. Otherwise it's 20%, it works with the pre-assembled hose. Love strength, hate contradiction. Is there some kind of pressure relief to make it work in line with the hose? I will change my rating if someone shows me. Does car mode work at all? How high does the water have to rise for the car to work? Also, what does premier mean? Do you have to try that 6 inches of water before it works?

Pros
  • High marks for hold and durability from testers
Cons
  • Almost never
