I disassembled my BMW key to get to the battery. I sawed, cut, scraped and butchered the poor thing because she wouldn't go back into the machine's key slot. I bought this case and put my key fob and electronics in it and it works great. Saved $267 on a new dealer key. Eventually I will change the battery and try not to cut it. Update 11/12/19: I actually bought 2. They still work great on my 2007 projector. None of them have ever had to change their battery, and lithium-ion batteries are already 12 years old. I wish all lithium ion batteries were this good.
