This is a leave-in wax-like conditioning gel so I would only recommend it for dry hair. You apply the color to your hair in strands and it colors itself. It definitely works, so if you want to temporarily color your hair for some reason, this will work. However, if you have to apply a lot, your hair will become greasy and stiff like a gel. I used a hair dryer to make sure it dried and didn't get on my clothes but that didn't work. He soiled my neck, my shirt collar, and some of my wrapper. It can be washed but leaves a hint of pink. This color is also more like fuchsia than red, so I recommend buying another product if you want something pure red. I really like this product but it's too messy for me.
