(maybe you want an electrician to do this) It has a glowing green LED that's easy to see from a distance at night so you know if it's working. It will inexpensively protect our very expensive equipment from damage. The instructions were easy to follow, very few tools needed for installation. The Negatives is not yet available. We've had several nearby thunderstorms and no damage. Highly recommended for protection. It's not cheap, but it's a lot cheaper and more convenient than replacing electronics due to lightning damage.
