Like other comments on the review, mine came in a bubble mail box in an open box in a plastic sleeve. Upon examination, there were a few scratches along the ruler and quite a few scratches on the ends of the ruler unrelated to the ruler adjustment process. Running a simple line test showed that the tool worked accurately and accurately. The real disappointment was that the ruler's finish was HORRIBLE, the chrome was missing in large areas on both sides of the ruler as if it had been somehow worn or machined before the manufacturing process was complete. I wanted the C33 to make the ruler easier to read, no chrome just doesn't work for me at this price point. I will go back and order directly from the manufacturer.
