You need this in combination with a manual lock. I believe this upgrade is only for the few who only bought a manual lock and want a power lock afterwards. This should be written more clearly as it is much cheaper to buy both at once. Also, the instructions suck. Look elsewhere for videos that explain it in much more detail. A few short sentences of written instructions with black and white photos just don't fit. They even advise you to go online and look for the best wiring instructions.
