I bought this product because it was a lightning deal and I have a problem with my hair always drying and turning into a complete mess. I tried this product on my day off while washing my hair so there was some protective natural oil in my hair. In general, the convenience of this brush compared to a traditional iron is undeniable, making it much more effective. However, be aware that you won't get anywhere near the same results with this product as you would with a traditional iron. I will most likely use this comb in my daily life because it makes my hair more manageable. I'll continue to use the traditional straightener when I'm doing something that requires a bit more presentation, like a nice dinner or something like that. Some additional notes: I have very thick hair that is extremely unruly. He always wants to curl up below which you can see in the photos. My hair is pretty coarse too. Usually enjoys minding his own business. I usually have to spend at least 30 minutes ironing.
