update: so I got a replacement for the first one that didn't work. With the replacement, the tray worked this time to melt things half as well, but again the handle wouldn't/couldn't suck up the chocolate. Don't waste your money on this product. I will try again once they replace the item but the one I got my daughter for her birthday didn't work at all. The sample consists of four sections for chocolate. The inner two sections kept the chocolate melted but wasn't enough to soak it up. The sections at either end did absolutely nothing and the chocolate was solid. Since the two sections in the middle were still heating up, we decided to at least try the handle, which didn't work either. The handle sucked up no more than half a teaspoon of chocolate even though the plunger went up. Hopefully it was just a faulty toy but we'll try again once a replacement arrives and then I'll update.
