I wish I could give higher!

After reading many reviews about different types of sponges that seemed more environmentally friendly, I settled on this one. I LOVE her and I don't love her. I wish I could recommend them to others because they are super efficient and more eco-friendly, but the durability isn't great :-(. Details below. PRO:- they clean EVERYTHING. (Of course, don't use them on copper, but on everything others are fine, good silver too!) They are far more effective than any other sponges, washcloths etc I have ever used. And light and soft - no sanding needed! The amount of grease is now wiped away with a few light strokes .THIS IS VERY COOL!Like REALLY VERY EFFECTIVE! AGAINST:- the fiber (nylon? not sure) woven into the copper absorbs and holds anything and everything of any kind of grease, which makes scrubbing start to smell pretty weird within a few weeks if you use it as a dishwasher (which I do) washing in SUPER hot water even boiling with vinegar and dish soap to try and get the oils and greases out but alas ALL WITHOUT RESULT.. annoying and a real crap - shelf life small. After about two to three weeks of use, the first one started to fall apart. We managed to use it for maybe two months but then it just smelled too awful to keep going so we moved on to the second. This one is holding up a bit better, but was still starting to come loose after about a month. The second one will hold up better than the first one, but I think we'll end up having to throw it out because of smell or decomposition. I love them for their effectiveness, I dislike them for their lack of durability and smell. If these two things could be fixed I would 100% buy again and recommend unreservedly.
