These are paddles for serving rice. They are made of plastic with smooth edges, making them suitable for both non-stick and regular metal surfaces in pots and rice cookers. I noticed some people thought they were spoons. Please note that these are no ordinary spoons! Rice sheets are flat with a bumpy surface. This design makes it easy to whisk and serve the rice without sticking to the paddle. I'm sure there are other uses, maybe couscous or quinoa for example.
