I've never used reinforced heat resistant Teflon tape, which works well but is often thicker than necessary. This tape is not thick, its thickness is more like the original packing tape. one, but that will improve the planing surface without much change. I used it on a wood on wood drawer and it solved the problem, the drawer now slides more easily and no longer damages surfaces. Adhesion is quite good. to peel off the final film while still being able to lift and reset the position a bit before pushing down. Also appears to be removable. Adhesion is a great balance.
