Description of ๐Ÿ”‡ TapeCase 423-3 UHMW Squeak Reduction Tape: 1 inch x 15 ft. Roll with High Tack Acrylic Adhesive - Friction Reduction Tapes

Polyethylene Tape: abrasion resistant tape is designed to create a slip-plane effect that allows surface contacts without any wear and tear. The tape backing offers smooth, friction-free movement. Squeak Reduction: the sound dampening tape adheres to normal and contaminated metallic, wooden, or plastic surfaces whether plain or painted. It helps to minimize squeaks and rattles caused due to vibration or wear of metals. Applications: this acrylic adhesive tape provides excellent adhesion and strong bonds to protect metal chutes, corrugated boxes, conveyors and guide rails. The high-tack tape is used in the manufacturing, distribution, and automotive industries. Longevity: this friction-resistant tape offers a long-lasting bonding for industrial and general-purpose usage. The low maintenance squeak reduction tape lasts longer than PTFE tapes in applications where lubrication is not possible. Specifications: the heavy-duty tape roll measures 1 in. in width and 15 ft. in length and has 0.005 in. thick tape.

Not for jet ski docks

I bought this to fit on the skids of a jet ski dock. I thought it would lessen the difficulty of ski sliding. It does not matter.

slide band. suitable for painting, wall treatment and consumables

Have you ever felt duct tape on a skateboard? It's the opposite of that. Should be called a sliding band. Smoother than my wife's freshly waxed legs. Used for wiping dresser drawers. The tape was slippery. Sticks well to the surface, that's enough to finish the job.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Something else

This is a great item

We have an old winter home in Florida and the drawers were wood on wooden slides, over the years the drawers have been almost impossible to open and close. After covering all areas with this tape the job was smooth and smooth as new which saved me a lot of work.

Pros
  • An absolute legend
Cons
  • Very expensive

Glue problem

The roll had glue stuck to the transparent protective cellophane - it didn't stay on the ultra high molecular weight tape. It was not possible to attach the UHMW tape without my own glue. This product description states that UHMW tape has a strong tack acrylic adhesive. not mine.

Pros
  • Cool product
Cons
  • Miscellaneous Miscellaneous

Excellent tape, but rewound and cut imprecisely.

I love the tape, but the roll I received is about +/- 1/16 inch wide. I don't know how or where it was cut, but it certainly doesn't look like it was cut where the tape was made. When decent outside edges and width aren't critical, duct tape is great. Unfortunately I assumed I was getting a roll of OE tape and not something cut and rewound by a third party or I would have tried to buy elsewhere.

Pros
  • Hands-free operation
Cons
  • Big and bulky

Highly recommended for old worn boxes.

Our home is nearly 100 years old and the drawers in the kitchen are badly worn from wear and tear.; I put this tape to one side and the drawers are all a lot easier to work with. I tried both sides on a drawer where it had a groove but it just jammed as there wasn't enough room in the groove - I suspect if I just inserted it into the flat part of the groove it would Drawer do it work almost perfectly.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Sun-Sun

Backing paper won't remove

A handyman with plenty of experience, time and tools to do something as simple as peeling tape off the backing paper. Looks like I found my buddy. Is the tape too thin, not flexible enough or elastic? Is the backing paper too thin, too flexible, not stretchy enough? Or was the tape mishandled, improperly stored, or stored too long? Who knows (or who cares) - an hour is too much to spend on this. Tore off.

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • So far so good

This is for the sliding tape.

I've never used reinforced heat resistant Teflon tape, which works well but is often thicker than necessary. This tape is not thick, its thickness is more like the original packing tape. one, but that will improve the planing surface without much change. I used it on a wood on wood drawer and it solved the problem, the drawer now slides more easily and no longer damages surfaces. Adhesion is quite good. to peel off the final film while still being able to lift and reset the position a bitโ€ฆ

Pros
  • practical
Cons
  • almost never
