I originally bought a "sealed" container from another brand, but I found two problems with this company's container: 1) it wasn't airtight - I could push down on top and I can hear the air being squeezed out - so obviously it's not airtight; and 2) I have a cat who is too smart for himself and has figured out how to open it up - and not just a little, but openly. This defeated the purpose of a cat food container - if a cat could open it it would definitely destroy any way of keeping the food fresh and preventing my cats from getting into the food bag. Thank you to the reviewer for the "other" container who recommended this container. WOW! Absolutely GREAT! Not only does it feel like it's truly airtight (I pressed on the top - and NO sign of air being squeezed out - but it stopped my burglar cat from opening it! Bonus features I LOVE <3 <3 : it has not only a scoop but also a groove in the lid to store the scoop to make it even easier to fill your bowls.The double holes in the lid are good too.The container opens on the other side to reveal the entire lid I need to put in a new pouch and the clasps make it easy to pop open both ends but I'll admit as they are quite difficult to hit I'm sure they won't come loose on their own but for the price it would be nice if others, the photos show a 22lb bag of cat food from which maybe 2-3 cups of food were taken (I prefer to keep the food in the bag so k a lining accumulates.) The liner is clean. As you can see, the bag fits comfortably in the bin, making about more space.
