So I would like to point out that most inexpensive espresso machines have vibratory pumps, which are inexpensive pumps that are considered workhorse water pumps. It has a feather that bounces off the body at a rate of once per second. If you spend money on commercial quality they are silent because they basically have rotary vane pumps connected to water pipes inside and they are silent. No, you cannot replace the pump in this pump. Rotary vane if you don't want an external pump which is twice the price of an on counter or under counter machine that attaches to the pump I looked it up. The good news is that you can replace the vibrating pump with a quieter one with a little research.
