This comb comes highly recommended by all hair types so it was clear from the start that I needed it. I finally made the purchase - hoping for a product that would make dissolving easier. But he struggled to get to my roots and ends. Only by carefully pre-detangling my fingers and working on small areas did it work adequately - and as a result, the brush's usefulness diminished for me - even after my hair was loaded with product and water. I also found the bristles and handle to be too stiff and not the most comfortable to hold or move. But I still have hope - and I will keep trying! It will definitely work as I know it has been so good for others. I think that it can serve me as a brush for combing or styling, for example. (Also, my hair type is considered 4C).
