Only floats for 10-15 seconds
Bought this to replace a paddle that sank in our harbor. It is made in three pieces which is maybe why it doesn't hold enough air to float. We have a similar paddle that is two piece and a little more solid and floats fine. The adjustment mechanism is real good and the price is good for a kids paddle. The paddle is still a little big for a kid of 48", but it's okay because they are growing. When we finished paddling and the paddle was left on the water, I noticed it sank after 10 seconds. Tried it again and realize that at the shorter length, the tube does not have enough air to keep it buoyant. Recommend a paddle leash for kids.
