This product was just what I needed - a clock that doesn't set off an alarm but lets my child see if it's okay to leave their room in the morning and a white noise generator. No frills, nothing special. It is durable and easy to install, but very simple in what it can do. There's no white noise brightness or volume control, which is odd. Love that you can turn the backlight/night light on or off, but that will never create a completely dark room because the temp gauge keeps flashing weirdly. I understand it's a bit warm for sleeping, but it's summer when the outside temperature is above 40 degrees, so we're used to the heat. We don't need a constantly burning red light telling us our house temperature isn't right. From those hours, I learned that our house was probably too hot for our kids to sleep comfortably, so we turned our thermostat off at night and the kids slept a little better. The sounds of white noise are not very good. We used the Shh tone, which is like a static tone, and it sounds good, although I wish it was a little louder. The hair dryer sounds like a hair dryer and the uterus is just weird. I wish there was a fan sound instead. I'm glad there's a small button battery that just saves the clock's memory in case the power goes out or kids are unplugged. The battery for this is included in the scope of delivery. I also like that it plugs into the wall and doesn't rely on a battery. However, the reason I give it 3 stars is because the power cord shorted out after a week!
