It was a terrible purchase, but I wasted my money.

Purchased for use in the workplace because there was a discount available (tired of paying 550 for unlimited 3g from Amazon). Some sort of terrible UG, but maybe I was just unlucky; however, judging by the reviews, it seems that I am not the only one who has had such bad luck. It is my intention to come back. Has pros: I haven't noticed in the week that I've been using it that the D-Link DWA-131 dongle, which has been used at home without any complaints for almost an entire year as an access point for laptops and phones (quite enough), is smaller, looks more stylish, and is even cheaper than it was before. Having certain negative aspects It is unable to locate a point that is literally five meters above it (on the floor above it), despite the fact that the smartphone can see this point and connect to it without any issues. In the event that it is located, a connection will be made; however, because no IP address will be assigned, the user will not have access to the internet and the process will proceed as follows: "connected-waited-IP did not receive-disconnected-connected again, etc." In SoftAP mode (as well as through the ASUS utility, the seven tools, and the Connectify program), it is not possible to connect another device because the issue is the same; there is no IP address assigned, and it is checked by the same smartphone while the user is still at home with a laptop.
