Bought the first one. Booted normally, contacted Comcast by phone. Hangs on establishing an outgoing connection (the LED just keeps flashing). A few hours of troubleshooting, no connection to the internet. Suppose the problem is in the modem. Send it back, get a second one. I thought it was recertified and cheap ($35), worth trying again if the first one broke. The second comes, same problem. This product either does not work with Comcast/Xfinity or does not work at all. Also, the prices are dropping about $1 each week, which tells me the main seller is trying to sell them. Both returned. A different device is supplied by a different seller/store.
