I have recessed lighting and wanted 3 LED bulbs to extend and illuminate a dark study area. Was almost willing to pay for an expensive Canning lamp replacement but found this item! Also bought an adjustable extension sold by the same company as my recessed light which can be deep. I have to say I was skeptical. All I had to do was put the two pieces together, add the bulbs and screw them into the socket. It's been working great ever since. I also added a lampshade to diffuse the light from the bulbs and now the room is well lit but not glaring. I am very happy that this company makes such a unique product!
