True to their word, this diffuser's mist is as robust as the NOW product below. Now that I've used diffusers for a couple of months, I have learned a couple of things. If you use them daily (as I do), you need to clean them (carefully) at least every couple of days, if not daily. This will directly impact the amount of mist they produce (even the NOW one stopped working completely after a couple of weeks). You can't touch the ultrasonic disk without damaging it, but you can use an eyedropper to fill it with rubbing alcohol to dissolve the oil residue that naturally builds up. After a few minutes (I put the alcohol in before I hop in the shower), you can wick it up carefully with a cotton swab or cotton ball and swirl the cotton gently to remove it from any of the plastic surfaces without touching the disk. I then rinse it with warm water, and, because I only use it at night, I let it air out all day and use it as directed again at bedtime.
