Review on Digital Converter Recording Channels Scheduled by Jason Epstein

I bought this to make it easier to connect an antenna to a home theater receiver. I tried the antenna in multiple positions for 65 miles and scanned channels with and without signal booster, it returned 5-10 channels. However, none of the channels were visible as the image was very distorted and inconsistent. Tried different weather conditions with the intention of really trying out this tuner. However, it remains unusable. Interestingly, the same antenna connected directly to the TV (which forces me to change inputs, etc.) receives the same channels, if not more, and all the images are excellent quality. As a result, I have to believe that the flaw in the tuner box is the weak link in this equation. I'll be back.
