This isn't a miracle cure for cold weather, BUT on a hot, sunny day, it will save you that first sip you drink, burn your mouth, or just plain water to make it less than refreshingly cool. Drinking chamber hoses get hot with prolonged exposure to the sun, and this is an easy fix. It helps with freezing in slightly sub-zero temperatures, but not if you leave it for a few hours, the temperature drops well below freezing, or if you don't move for a long time. However, it is really ok to prevent the sun exposure.
