Review on DreamGEAR DGXB1 6603 Dual Charge Black by Christopher Lott

First, I like the look of the upright position and the cool glowing green/red LED bar that shows when it's actively charging. It takes quite a long time to fully charge the batteries and the LED lights never go out. It is convenient that the USB power port is the same style as the controllers. If I'm gaming for a long time, I can usually just unplug the dock and plug it directly into the controller. Luckily, this means that at least the bright LEDs no longer make me point out that there is no controller in the holder. The batteries themselves appear to have a practical lifespan of around 6 hours of playtime from a full charge to when the controller shuts down. Which isn't bad for the price considering you get two. Unfortunately, they don't "load" themselves when the controller is connected to USB. (And they should be. I can't blame the product, I can blame the Xbox! Come on Microsoft! You should have seen this coming!) All in all, it's always great not to buy batteries , but this dock is not without its flaws.
