Won't kill you to attach simple instructions. Also, the supplied mounting screws were too big for the main unit; I tried using the screws that came with the stereo but they went through oversized holes in the fixed side bracket. In the end I had to drill holes in the head unit, even then the screws didn't screw in evenly and flush. Self-tapping screws should be used instead of fine machine threads. It finally worked, but it shouldn't be that hard. I have no idea what the foam pads are for and the plastic pad is useless, I used the one that came with the stereo. Gave 3 stars because it worked in the end and the case and clips were decent quality.
