Excellent Quality and Price

EDIT 2: I'm also impressed with Sovol's response, both their presence in the Facebook user group and the fact that they were quick to reply to me with recommendations on how to make the printer quieter . I can't give the printer 5 stars, but I would like to give it a 4.5. EDIT 1: Added asterisks. I've had this printer for about a week now. I've typed with it quite a bit and really enjoy it. It's still louder than I expected, but I'm really impressed with the print quality I've been able to get from a printer at this price point. Most of what I did was just play around with the slicer settings to see what works best with this printer. The only thing I did to the printer was coat it with hairspray to increase adhesion. Some imprints came off the corners (both PLA and TPU) which came off with some hairspray. Provenance: I received mine yesterday. It was easy to set up and I was able to print really good prints straight away without any adjustments. Obviously the slicer settings had a lot to do with it, but I was really impressed. To get it out of the box I would recommend turning the box over and pulling it all the way out. The base and portal are connected, so trying to pull everything out will be difficult. The instructions are pretty clear. There are a few things that aren't obvious, but overall they were good. Upgrading to Marlin 2.0.0 was easy, especially since they included a mini-USB cable (not many of those exist anymore). The beat sensor is kind of useless. The higher and further from the center the print is, the tighter the thread tension. I just disabled it in the Marlin 2.0 firmware. It's really very bad. I've run out of thread a few times and it would be nice to be able to load and continue more. The TPU doesn't seem to stick to the bed particularly well, although it does help a little at a higher bed temperature than I normally use. I used 60c, although I think I might try a little higher and see if that helps more. PLA adheres very well and dissolves quite easily. I used 55c. You have to be very careful when installing the clips that hold the glass so they don't get in the way of the hot end. The Z-Stop isn't particularly easy to set up. If the screws are loose enough to move it, it wobbles a bit so it's hard to be precise. Not a big problem, but they could find a better way to do it. The only real complaint right now is its volume. It seems to be the fans. Part of the problem is that the case that houses the motherboard and power supply has very few vents. And there are no holes where the PSU fan is located. It's not clear what they were thinking when they did it. Luckily I have a printer in the basement so nobody minds, but then again it seems pretty easy to make it a little better. Overall I'm happy with it and would recommend it.
