Review on ๐Ÿ”ช Enhance Precision and Versatility with DEWALT Circular Saw Fence (DW3278) by Jason Yancy

This is for cordless circular saws only and will not fit Dewalt cordless circular saws.

Dewalt is VERY misleading as they claim their guide bar fits most Dewalt circular saws. According to their own packaging, it only fits the DWE575, DWE575SB, DWE364, DWS535 and DW384, all of which are mains powered electric saws. Pay attention to the numbers of other reviewers. This is the only ripsaw that Dewalt sells and while I wouldn't be surprised if Black and Decker didn't have the correct ripsaw for our cordless saws, I haven't found one yet and reviewers who provide a part number are giving the incorrect part number that refers to this very guide to breaking. However, since I couldn't find a guide that worked, I proceeded to grind these to fit. Mark the sanding that requires sanding on all 4 sides. Final measurements were 5/16 wide and 1/16 thick. I removed about 1/16th from each side and 1/64th from the top and bottom. Goodbye numbers. In truth, you should never trust numbers anyway, so while it's handy for reference, it's not a huge loss. I can always mark them accurately myself. After all, the nut is also the wrong size. At the moment I don't have a thread size to specify the thread size. It's a hard-colored stainless steel, meaning it won't rust after you've turned it. As I search the chances of finding a piece of flat steel of that dimension to do it yourself are minimal and to do it right would require stainless steel or aluminum and a TIG welding machine which I don't have. If you have a part number that makes a battery powered Dewalt or a better idea please comment. If you know a small machine shop that would like to fill this gap, let them know that the gap exists. Why DeWalt bothers to make guide saws without selling custom guides is a big mystery.
