Review on 🌬️ Vicks Filter-Free Ultrasonic Cool Mist Humidifier: Ideal for Nursery, Bedroom, and Medium-sized Spaces by Paul Pineda

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Only lasted 2 seasons

I'm updating the rating to 3 stars because after only 2 seasons it stopped working. I asked for assistance and all they could offer me was a video on how to clean it with vinegar. I did that, but the thing still doesn't work. So annoyed. (Original review) This humidifier serves its purpose and is very easy to use. Advantages: β€’ Very easy to refuel. You simply detach the tank, carry it to the sink to fill it up, then put it back on the base β€’ It doesn't leak at all - it's on a bookshelf and there's not even a drop of moisture underneath. That. I've seen people complain about this issue in reviews of other humidifiers, so I thought I'd mention it. β€’ Rather quiet. It's not *quiet*, and depending on how close this thing was to your head or how sensitive you are, you might be annoyed. But it's just a low, steady hum, like the sound of your car's vents expelling warm air. β€’ It works out. I bought a small thermometer for $10 (I don't think that's the right word); So I know that the humidity in my house went from 20% to about 35% thanks to this humidifier. One note: I live in an open plan city apartment of about 650 square feet and think this unit is only recommended for use in a room of about 250 SF. I considered buying a second one to see if the two together would increase the humidity; but bottom line after a small gain my skin is no longer dry and flaky so i'm happy.β€’ she's attractive. It's not a work of art or anything, but its sleek lines and aqua on a white base are visually appealing. Cons: β€’ I would say the only negative thing about this device is that it turned orange after a few months of use. Formation of a crust around the water intake. At first I thought it was some kind of mold, but when I touched it I found it was hard and gritty, so I'm assuming it's some kind of mineral deposit from the water. But I don't think I can blame the car. In addition, it is not visible from the outside, but only when refueling.
