These rugs are amazing. I have several litter boxes and I set up a perimeter around them with about a foot of mat extending from the front and 6 to 7 inches on each side of the drawers (back to wall). It took three very large mats to get the job done but I've had them for over a month now and not a single bit of dirt has escaped. I've been a cat mom for over twenty years and have tried many different types of litter box mats, but always ended up with litter everywhere. These mats catch EVERYTHING and you can just pour the filler back into the box which also saves some waste. Haven't had to wash it yet but I think it would be pretty easy to hose them down outside or in the bath as they are only rubber. A bit pricey but definitely worth it.
