I made a good decision.1. They take up very little space, which is great because I don't have a lot of room to put them. They nest well.2. I got these because I wanted to be able to strain rice or very fine food scraps without losing anything/much down the drain. I was always dissatisfied when my noodles slipped through the sieve holes of my previous sieve.3. The surfaces of my set are very smooth so the pasta, which can be quite sticky, doesn't stick to the inside walls of these colanders until they drain and I pour the contents back into the pot. They are light.5. You are strong.6. They are easy to clean and when hand dried the fabric will not stick to anywhere.7. They were each packaged in their own plastic sleeve which I appreciate as it protects my product and if/if I need to keep them for a move I will not forget the nice streamlined box and plastic sleeves they came in store and repackage. 8. You are stable. This means they don't tip over so easily. You don't want pasta and other foods clogging your drain. The legs are high enough to prevent liquid from flowing through them from the filters, yet streamlined enough to nest inside one another. For a family of 3, I usually only need the smallest filter to cook pasta or veggies. For example, with a family of 5, when Mom and Grandma are over, I use the next size up to strain the pasta and we still have enough pasta for 3 more people. I rarely use the largest, but it's winter now so I suspect I'll be using the largest a lot more to extract and wash the veggies I get from the garden. I have already successfully tried steaming vegetables in the smallest colander, but I probably won't do it again because I had to use the pan much wider than usual because of the handles. I don't remember seeing this as a feature of theirs either. There are only 2 things that could improve this set: 1. If the handles are folded sideways (and/or flipped up to be used as vaping handles) of each filter for an even more streamlined effect. If even the smallest colander could filter quinoa or other similar seeds, it would increase its functionality. That would mean that with this set I could also wash the seeds and I wouldn't need another separate kitchen gadget for that. For example mesh screens. A few thoughts for the designer. :-)
