I needed a new slide for my dresser, one of which broke and one drawer became completely unusable. I took great care to make sure I was ordering the right length and that it was as close to it as possible - it was about 3/4" too long, but I just cut it with a miter saw so it wasn't a problem. The problem is that it's about 1/4" thicker (taller?) than the one I replaced. I used it anyway because I didn't realize it until after I cut it open, so I couldn't return it, but it's so thick that the drawer won't close completely, so if you use it as a spare, pay attention to the thickness to make sure it works.
