I had a dresser with a broken wooden rail for many years and used it to fix it. Since I don't have a drill, I skipped screwing it into the dresser and used Gorilla Glue instead. Works like a charm and fits perfectly in my dresser. Looked strong enough and I'm very happy with it. It slipped slightly but just in case I added some wax to make it smoother. 10/10

It worked because I replaced the whole strip, but note the shape is not the same as the picture. I bought by length (which was perfect) but by shape as I only needed one piece of the set to match what I already had. As it wasn't the same shape as in the photo I had to replace it entirely as part of it didn't fit. Otherwise it works and the quality is good.

Jerry's online store sells two versions. One object (this one) clearly shows that the grooves are U-shaped and symmetrical. Another element shows that the groove is more like a trapezoid with triangular grooves. I bought these as I only needed to replace the fixed part and not the drawer slide. However, I have a different style. I got it working by replacing the drawer slide as well, which took a lot more work than I planned.

Our son has a dresser where the center support has crumbled. The chest of drawers was still in good condition apart from this support, so after some searching I found this article. I only needed the smaller part, but I kept the other part just in case. Was able to use an old rotten piece as a template and drill some new holes and it works perfectly. I put off this repair for years and now regret not having done it sooner as it was so easy.

I don't know if my husband installed them correctly, but when he screwed them in almost all of them were torn in the middle. They also need side pieces to lift them so they're level or they'll wobble back and forth. They cost more than my dresser at the thrift store. I will NEVER buy another dresser that doesn't have drawers that work properly or drawers that need replacing. What a HEADACHE! This dresser was custom sized so nothing would fit at Lowe's or Home Depot. Hence the online order.

I am very happy with the product. It was exactly the size I needed for the old dresser, so I didn't have to trim or cut anything. I lined up the old foil with the new one and drilled the holes. I've included a before and after picture as well as the existing piece of metal it slides into. It fits perfectly in this rail. I found it cheaper than the big hardware store chains. I bought a used dresser from Craig's List to refurbish. 3 drawers are broken. They are great for fixing crates! A fresh coat of paint and a shine to the hardware, and the dresser is gorgeous! (And I don't know how to do anything with tools! I needed a new slide for my dresser, one of which broke and one drawer became completely unusable. I took great care to make sure I was ordering the right length and that it was as close to it as possible - it was about 3/4" too long, but I just cut it with a miter saw so it wasn't a problem.
