Our son has a dresser where the center support has crumbled. The chest of drawers was still in good condition apart from this support, so after some searching I found this article. I only needed the smaller part, but I kept the other part just in case. Was able to use an old rotten piece as a template and drill some new holes and it works perfectly. I put off this repair for years and now regret not having done it sooner as it was so easy.
