Review on Motorcycle Waterproof Speaker Amplifier System by Jon Thompson

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Sounds great on my Road King

I chose this product based on the positive reviews I've seen here at Revain about the sound quality of this system. I have to say that the sound quality is excellent. Two years ago I installed another system that required me to connect power directly to the battery which meant that every time I turned the system on I had to turn it off when I stopped. The Lanzar is truly a plug and play device and the sound is excellent. But Lanzar decided that their technical writer used a pencil and a 4th grade writing style to follow the "so-called" detailed technical instructions. If you are not tech savvy, you can have a professional do the installation for you. They show an image of a bike so you know it was made for a motorcycle. The amp can be easily connected to the frame (mine is mounted on the frame behind the front wheel so I can get enough cooling). Some people claim that the volume knob makes a static noise, but mine sounds good and I installed it under the mirror for easy access from the gas side. I have no idea how they expected me to get their iPhone/mp3/? Bracket. Very clunky, ugly and makes no sense. I don't have a USB port installed (maybe in the future) but it's also a clunky device and I don't want a lot of items hanging off the handlebars. Once switched on the system sounds great, looks great and will hopefully last longer than my previous one.
