My daughter is 6 years old and very tall for her age (49 inches tall and 69 pounds). I chose size 7-9. Well, they're too long in your fingers. Her body is about the size of a 7-9 year old and the gloves for a 7-9 year old are way too big - THEY ARE BIG (at least on the fingers) They are also a bit difficult to put on but it doesn't matter in the way. For size comparison, I'm an adult, short stature, and the finger length is perfect for my fingers, but the palm area was a little small for me - the velcro wraps around the bottom of my palm, not my wrist.
